Canadian Family Summer Internship '06

Selected to work along side the Art Director for Canadian Family magazine for two months in the summer of 2006. Being the only other graphic designer on staff for this recently made-over magazine was exciting and provided many different levels of experience. I was also able to take advantage of gaining first hand experience in art direction.

Experience:
Sourced products from various stores in the GTA
Attended photoshoots, assisted with set design, product placement etc
Colour correction, checked proofs , suggested corrections to production team
Scouted locations for cover photoshoot
Selected illustrators and contracted them for story illustrations
Sourced photos
Created page layouts for single pages as well as spreads
Attended meetings to discuss content for upcoming issue
